Slanty shell blanket

Hello!
After being asked by so many people, about my blanket, I have finally made a tutorial for you!!
I hope it works!
Uk terms 3.5mm hook
For a practise ch27 LOOSE.
In 4th ch from hook work 3tr.
*skip 3 chains and work 1 dc.
ch3 and work 3tr in next ch*.
Repeat from * to * all the way along.
In the very last ch work 1dc, ch3 and turn.
Row 1
Work 3tr in first dc.
* In the next 3ch space work (dc,3ch,3tr)*
repeat from *to* all the way along, end 1dc in turning ch.
ch3 turn
Repeat row 1 throughout.
To make the blanket, loosely ch243 and change colour every 4 rows, or whenever you fancy!
Foundation row: 3tr in 4th ch from hook.* (sk 3chs, 1dc in next ch,ch3, 3tr in next ch)* rep from * to * across row.

I’ll be trying this pattern out for sure I love it … but when I look at the pictures it looks like a single crochet and not a double ….. BUT I will do it with a double … could be me looking at it wrong …. very very pretty pattern , thank oyu so much for posting pictures this makes it so much easier for me to understand the pattern .

I don’t know if this will help, but the instructs are for UK terminology. If you are in the USA, it translates as follows:
A treble is a Double Crochet in the USA
A Double Crochet is a single crochet in the USA.
      Hope this helps.

I love this stitch but can you tell me what the numbers would be if I didn’t want one that large? I’m not good at figuring it out myself. Thanks for any help you can provide! Thanks from Iowa, USA

Hi Tinesha. I didn’t do a straight edge because I liked how it looked without one. I will have a go at adding a last row for a straight edge. xxx

Thank you. I have been looking for this pattern for a while no, as I have a rug someone gave me in this pattern. That lady changed colour every two rows, which gives a more zigzag effect which is also lovely.
You asked us to let you know if we found any mistakes in your written pattern at the bottom of all the very helpful photos. I am not sure if the Foundation Row pattern is correct or not. Comparing your instructions under the photos with the whole pattern at the bottom, I think you may have left out the 3ch in between the 1dc in next ch, and the 3tr in next ch.

Should it read : * (Skip 3ch, 1dc in next ch, 3ch, 3tr in next ch)

I apologise if I have got this wrong!!
Again, thanks for sharing your pattern and tutorial.

This blanket is beautiful. Have not started it yet, as we have just recently moved from UK to Sicily, Italy, to open our Self catering business.I just said to my Man this week, I waned to start some wool work again soon, My friend sent me your website, Bless her, and you have inspired me. Thank you. I will definitely give this a go as soon as I find the mass of wool I brought over with me.

Love this stitch. From Springville NY USA. Just to make sure I can follow pattern, your tr is our dc. And your dc is our single crochet. I hope this is right because I really love the pattern. Thank you.

    • pinkfluffywarrior_admin says:

Hi Kathy. Yes the UK tr is USA dc and the UK dc is USA sc.
I’m really happy you like it!

I am not sure if you mentioned the size of this blanket or not, I did look for it but couldn’t find it – would you be able to help me with this?? Also If I wanted to make this larger or smaller what would the repeat stitch be = any number of stitches + 1, 2, 3, 4??? Thanks so much for your help!!
