Brightening up January

I’m not a fan of January, it’s far to dull for my liking.
Time to brighten it up a bit!
Dawn this morning was beautiful.
Very cold
but very pretty!
The main part of my new blanket is done.
I still need to sew in the loose ends, and I’d like to add a border. I think the border will change it from a large crochet square into a blanket.
I made the little fiddly flowers to go with this blanket
I was thinking they would look nice all the way around the edge.
P thinks it might be too much!
I’m not sure, I really love the idea of a blanket surrounded by flowers!
Till next time!

I think the flowers would look really nice (but would take ages!!) what pattern did you use if you on’t mind me asking. I love how the leaves are behind them.

Your blanket is GORGEOUS! I think the flowers would finish it off perfectly. I love your choice of colours too – very Spring-like! X
I’m having trouble with leaving comments through typepad btw which is why this is through Google (pinkgreen) XX

Wanted to say – I’ve been searching all over for a matching pattern as this blanket is simply to die for. I’ve had no luck. I think it’s a variation of a shell stitch. Could you share the pattern?? Pretty please?

Beautiful blanket! How long did it take to complete? What size it is?
I think you should put the flowers just along the top edge, maybe the bottom also, but not all the way around.
